rocking chair
This rocking chair was custom built to fit the particular size, shape and comfort requirements of the user. It's a little smaller and more upright than an average rocker. The gentle curves of the back slats are steam-bent, and the rockers are tapered bent laminations. The drop-in seat is wrapped in Danish cord, which is made of tightly wound 3-ply kraft paper. That's right, paper! The seat could also easily be upholstered.
Materials: Madrone & Danish cord. Finished with oil varnish.
