I make furniture out of my shop in Fort Bragg, CA, where I attended the College of the Redwoods Fine Furniture program (now The Krenov School). My wife and I previously lived in New York, where I worked in many roles in the commercial photography industry. A year spent in Japan introduced me to traditional joinery, hand-planed surfaces and ancient designs that still seem modern. A commission to build a giant kinetic sculpture for a photographer in New York was the catalyst for our eventual move west and my new focus on fine woodworking. As I work to refine a personal style, I aim for a clean design aesthetic, building pieces that are utilitarian and beautiful. I also try to incorporate curves and complexity without distracting from the overall effect. I'm available for commissions, and can ship anywhere in the country.

I also have over a decade of experience as a commercial retoucher both on and off set.
