little boxes

These boxes are part of an ongoing series of small pieces made for the Northcoast Artists Gallery in Fort Bragg, CA. They're a chance to develop ideas and build small batches of products. They're also a fun break from longer-term and more complex projects, and don't take up too much space in the shop.

They are usually made from stock I have on hand: Madrone, Sinker Redwood, Douglas Fir, Walnut and Western Maple. They're finished in shellac and oil. They're useful and fun to look at, and probably sized to fit the notebook you carry around. If you give one to someone as a gift, they'll probably say, "Thanks, that was thoughtful."
